Our trip to Bethesda Care and Counselling Centre

This is a long overdue entry :) The guys from Wat the Fish ?!?! have been a little busy preparing for their other ventures.

The trip to Bethesda was a long awaited opportunity for the guys to share our love for Siamese Fighters with our younger friends :)

All in all, it was a refreshing and fun experience for all of us at Wat the Fish ?!?! 5 of the fishes found new owners among our newly found friends at Bethesda. We hope with all our hearts that these fishes will ignite a "fishy" passion within their new owners.

To all our young friends reading this blog... here's wishing you all the joy and fun during Christmas and in the coming New Year's Day, we hope to see you again real soon :) Till then, take care of those Siamese Fighters... we hope to see them "alive and kicking" when we see you again ;)

Warmest wishes,
All of us at Wat the Fish ?!?!

Give a fish. Make a wish.

The perfect present for the young and old is not something that is expensive and extravagant. Rather, we believe the perfect present for anyone, young and old, is a gift from the heart, a gift that would mean something.

Gone were the days where kids played with games that didn't involve computers and PSPs. Long gone were the days where kids simply enjoyed hanging out in the neighbourhood, at the playground and the local park. It may not have been that long ago since we were kids. But we guess it was memorable enough for us to still remember the times when we played around with fishes rather than dead computer games.

"Give a Fish, Make a Wish." We hope through a "fishy" gift, you can bring new joy to your loved ones; whether parents (who reminisce of childhood days gone by) or children (who are always fascinated by little pets)... when you give them a little something that is unique and special for their birthday or the coming Christmas.

In a season of giving, give from the HEART! Give a fish. Make a wish.

Order your fish now at watthefish@rocketmail.com and tell us the fish type and colour of your choice! Colors are limited!

President Obama and a fishy quote

Wat the Fish ?!?! congratulates President-elect Barack Obama on his landslide victory in the recent US Presidential Election. He is definitely a breath of fresh air to the United States and the rest of the world. His audacity to dream and challenge social norms to become the 1st black American president is an inspiration to many and us. Yes, we can !!
"You can wrap an old fish in a piece of paper called change. Its still gonna stink."
Candidate then, now President Barack Obama on real change.

ROYAL RUMBLE: Darth Vader Vs. White Knight

Last night at about 2300 hrs, we found Darth Vader and White Knight out of their tanks, on the floor.

Darth Vader and White Knight tanks were placed side by side. In their nature to fight, White Knight probably wanted to uphold justice as Darth Vader spread evil through the room and the other tanks. They were both so eager to engage each other in the fight of century that they both jumped out of their tanks and landed on the floor (about 30 cm away from their tanks).

Thank goodness we came into the room just in time to save both of them from drying up. White Knight and Darth Vader are now recuperating well as they swim around in their tanks. Darth Vader continues to eye the fishes around it with "evil" in its eye while White Knight remains calm and composed, waiting for the call to fight for justice once again.

Disclaimer: The above story was true to a certain extent! (Darth Vader and White Knight really jumped out of their tanks while trying to engage each other in a fight) Darth Vader is not really evil. White Knight doesn't really know what justice is.

Sunday Market

Wat the Fish ?!?! conducted its first open market sales last Sunday (2nd November) at Tampines. It was an eye-opener and an interesting experience interacting with all the uncles and aunties who were reminiscing about the good ol' times of rearing "fighting fishes".

Then yet again, there were dozens of curious boys and girls who came to the stall, peering at the fishes (putting on a big show) which caught their attention. Looks like the Siamese Fighter's "mystical" ability of drawing attention to itself is still working on the current PSP generation...

Wat the Fish ?!?! is thankful to all who have patronised and brought home a Siamese Fighter. We truly hope you enjoy the experience and share the joy of owning one with your family and friends.

Yours sincerely,
Everyone from Wat the Fish ?!?!

Fishcare Tips

To Every Owner of a Siamese Fighter

Fishcare Tip # 1
Smaller containers can be homes for your Siamese Fighter.
But do remember that Fighters love large spaces to roam too.
Fishcare Tip # 2
Your Siamese Fighter is called a “fighting fish” for a reason. He is extremely territorial and does not like company. Keep to one Fighter per container.
Fishcare Tip # 3
Try not to position your fighter’s home in very hot or cold temperatures. He thrives best in room temperatures.
Fishcare Tip # 4
Feed your fighter up to 3 times daily, one pellet at a time. Do NOT over-feed him.
He should stay lean and mean like a trained Fighter.
Fishcare Tip # 5
Give your fighter a clean home.
Change half of the water in his home twice a week to keep him in the pink of health.
Fishcare Tip # 6
Fighters rise to the water surface to breathe just like humans do !!
Wherever possible, do NOT leave their homes enclosed.
